Mineral colore pigments reflect light so that the colore seems to come from within, making the skin look younger and healthier.
Tiny mineral pigments adhere to and lie on top of the skin surface providing a protective barrier from the environment to prevent skin damage, freckling and uneven coloration.
Titanium Dioxide acts like a mirror and has great reflective properties. Zinc Oxide acts like a sponge and has light absorbing properties to protect the skin from UVA and UVB radiation. Zinc has antibacterial properties and is classified as a category 1 diaper rash treatment.
Mineral powder protection is preferred by those with sensitive skin. Mineral powders provide a cooling effect on the skin. The sun's energy excites the iron oxide energy and induces a reaction. This creates an energy field that provides a physical barrier and supports the "cooling" effect on the skin and infrared protection.
Before swim: Minerals are not soluble in water. This means you may swim or perspire without reapplying. To maintain SPF protection you should reapply after 80 minutes.
