Check out what MakeupMinute.com had to say:

Today I got a great question from one of my readers in regards to sunscreen and foundation. It reminded me about a product relaunching from Colorescience that maybe some of you are not yet aware of.

Colorescience has a great sunscreen line called Sunforgettable. It is the first powder sunscreen with an SPF of 30. Some of its great benefits include:

* Instant protection. Lose the twenty minute wait!
* Very water resistant
* Reflects and refracts light on the surface of your skin (leaving you with a cool feeling)
* Ultimate stability
* Available in "All Clear", "Almost Clear", "Perfectly Clear" as well as Sparkle colores

Sunforgettable will now launch in a new "orb" that is easier than ever to use-simply twist and powder. It also has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, as well as the Skin Cancer Foundations's prestigious Seal of Recommendation.

Now why do I bring up sunscreen on a makeup blog? Well, before we get into some really hot weather and are still wearing liquid foundation, Sunforgettable is the perfect sunscreen to powder over your face in lieu of your regular setting powder.

Sunforgettable Orb SPF 30 will be available for $40 in May.

The beauty website For The Love of Beauty raves:

"Let me introduce to you a wonderful, good for your skin item that will leave your face feeling soothed, looking even-colored and has the added effect of protecting from the sun - Colorescience's Wild to Mild Skin Bronzer.

Ingredients include: zinc, titanium oxide (mineral sun protection, SPF 12-19), organo silicones (allows actives to work but non-pore clogging) which smoothes lines and soothes skin, patented rice peptides (reduces breakdown of collagen and soothes burned skin too), oats (to reduce redness), grapefruit, green tea, tea tree, lavender & tangerine extracts, nourishing blue-algae extract, beta-carotene, vitamin E and hydrating glycerine.

This product can be used as a primer to add a slight bronzing effect before applying foundation, alone as a skin evener (without foundation), or may be even applied over foundation to add a smoothing effect and pick-me-up during the day. It has an almost powdery-cream consistency (if that makes any sense); thicker than regular primer gels and such, but blends ever so effortlessly into the skin.

Now, this product is NOT going to give you the same effect as a self-tanner; the bronzing is very subtle. I actually think that's a plus because as a fair-skinned girl, I can wear this easily under foundation (even fair foundations) or alone without fear of mis-matching my skin shade. You really can't go wrong with it.

Secondly, it seems a bit pricey at $45 for a bottle, but each bottle contains approximately 99 squirts (one squirt will cover your entire face), so it lasts a while.

You already know I'm in love with its sister product - Colorescience Line Tamer Skin Brightener, which is not only an excellent primer, but a fabulous brightener with it's soft yellow undertones (evening out skin tone as well) and moisturizing ingredients. This item is my HG primer and listed as a For the Love of Beauty Top Favorite for 2007.

I can honestly recommend both the Colorescience Line Tamer Skin Brightener AND the Wild to Mild Skin Bronzer to you very highly and without hesitation. I've been a fan for several years and looking

forward to trying more from this brand.

The Daily Obsession Website loves Colorescience too!

June 21st, 2008 by thedailyobsession.com

Many of you have undoubtedly heard about Colorescience's Sunforgettable line - including myself! However, I just recently had a chance to test it out for the very first time. This line is basically the first SPF30 mineral powder that's formulated to protect against both UVA and UVA rays. In addition to sea minerals, each tube contains 12% micronized titanium dioxide and 12% micronized zinc oxide.

Available in 7 shades, I tried the SPF 30 Brush in Perfectly Clear (the matte version), which is a barely-there neutral tint. The brush is fluffy and retractable, so it's so really easy to use and makes blending easy. Just apply onto your face, hands and anywhere else that needs a little sun protection! Plus, the entire tube is quite slim, making it perfect to throw in your purse.

This is basically a great way to get instant protection if you forget to put on SPF before you leave the house. For instance, how many times have you been stuck in traffic, realized that you forget to apply SPF and felt like your skin is getting scorched just sitting there? Now, all you have to do is pull out this handy-dandy brush and you'll get your protection (since traffic is moving at 5 mph - what else are you going to do?). Sunforgettables is also available as a roll-on, shaker jar and an orb (full-sized or mini) if you prefer. Now, you can put on your SPF anywhere you are!

In StyleMagazine.com writes:

"Here's the connex: Colorescience Sunforgettable SPF 30 is touted in the June issue of In Style Magazine to be a fave of Cameron Diaz. It also carries the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation.

Colorescience also just happens to be recommended by Dr. David Reath on the website for his practice. Here's what Dr. Reath says there:

At a Plastic Surgeon's office, we are frequently asked questions like "Is there a makeup that is strong enough to cover redness and bruising after surgery, yet gentle enough for sensitive skin, that looks natural but is easy to apply?"

Until recently, we didn't know of one. So we asked our aesthetician to find one. Anyone who knows her can attest to the fact that she knows her makeup. With her extensive aesthetic background mixing custom shades of mineral makeup, she was the perfect person for the job. Well, she found it (and much more) with our new complete line of mineral makeup--Colorescience.

Yes, they have the concealers for use after surgery, but their everyday makeup is amazing. You'll love the way the convenient retractable goat-bristle brush releases just the right amount makeup for fast fool-proof application. And it's glamorous enough for Cameron Diaz. We like it so much we have thrown away our department store foundations we used for years."

In the June Issue of GamourMagazine they rave about Colorescience:
FIND YOUR SUNSCREEN STYLE

"Don't forget: Your face needs special protecton, too! "Most facial sunscreens are designed for the more sensitive skin of this part of the body," says dermatologist Dr. Kenneth Beer. "The body [sunscreens] may contain more fragrances or other irritants or additives." If creams take a toll on your complexion, check out Cameron Diaz's fave brand Colorescience, who've just launched a gentle full-spectrum Sunforgettable Orb powder that you simply dust over your skin – a great way to get a physical block."
