1. Can I still wear removable makeup if I get tattoo makeup?
Absolutely, you can wear removable makeup over permanent. Permanent or tattooed makeup that is chosen wisely in natural shades enhance your overall look on their own for those relaxing days and are a terrific foundation for adding makeup to intensify your look when you want to look more glamorous.

2. Is permanent makeup actually a tattoo like someone would get on their arm or back?
Permanent makeup is similar to traditional tattooing in that it deposits pigment under the top layer of skin. Sometimes that application processes are similar and sometimes they are not. The real difference is that working on such delicate areas as the lips and eyelids requires some modifications from traditional tattooing.

3. What skin care do I need after permanent makeup application?
After your permanent makeup has been applied, treat the skin just like you would an open wound. Keep it clean and protected with an antibiotic ointment. Do not be afraid to cleanse the area, but do stick to mild, non-abrasive cleansers. Do not apply makeup or skin care products to the area for at least one week. Keep in mind that anything that touches the open skin could potentially introduce microbes that could lead to an infection. After the skin is healed, a twice-daily application of sunscreen will help to keep the color fresh longer.

4. Is the procedure painful?
Topical Anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort for eyeliner and eyebrows. A dental block is used to numb the lips.

5. Do I have a choice of colors?
Of course! We will make the color choice together.

6. Do I have a choice in placement of pigments?
Yes! You will be fully aware of where the pigment is to be implanted during the procedure.

7. What is involved in recovery?

There will be swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. The lip stay swollen for 3 days. Complete healing taking one to six weeks while pigmentation matures and reaches its final color.

8. Is this a "permanent" procedure?

Through the years the pigments will fade, but there will be some remnants. An enhancement will be required to keep the appearance sharp.

9. How often is an enhancement required?

Approximately every 3 to 5 years an enhancement should be done.

10. Is this a tattoo?

It is the same concept as a tattoo.

11. Can I still give blood after having a tattoo?

If you explain that the procedure was done in a doctor's office, you can still give blood.

12. Can I have an MRI without a reaction?

The pigments I use are made from crushed minerals. These do not react with an MRI like some of the pigments made up of iron oxides.

13. Who can benefit from permanent make up?

Anyone can benefit that would like to save time, is physically capable of applying makeup, has allergies to conventional makeup, or is very athletic.

14. How long does each procedure take?

It takes from one to two hours depending on which service is done and combination services.

15.How will I know if I am allergic to the pigments used?

A patch test is required at least 5 days prior to having any procedure. It is not likely since the pigments are crushed minerals
