Glow MedSpa Laser Collagen Rebuilding

Collagen remodeling is when energy penetrates down to the collagen layer in the skin. This energy stimulates new growth by gently heating and stimulating the tissue to create new collagen growth therefore resulting in the tightening of the skin.

Collagen is the "backbone" or structure to our skin much like the framework of a house. As the body ages, the once tight bands of collagen begin to relax causing our skin to sag and wrinkle. Just like when you go the gym and lift weights, one visit will not produce tone muscles, the same theory applies here. Since we are stimulating new growth the results will not be over night. The changes will be gradual and noticed over the next few weeks.

We feel that a minimum of 3 treatments that are 4 to 6 weeks apart is a great way to start.

Back to the gym analogy, when you stop exercising the muscles start to fade, we suggest follow up treatments once a year to maintain collagen growth. New growth can result in up to a 40% tightening of the skin. For maximum results we recommend the treatment be combined with a microdermabrasion.

In most people there is no sign of treatment. Occasionally the area treated will have a pink glow. If done with other procedures the skin may be very sensitive to the sun for 2-3 days. No matter the case we strongly suggest the use of a sunscreen everyday for the protection of your skin. The sun is very damaging to the dermis.
